From Porto Santo Stefano one can take a ferry boat to reach those magnificent islands of our archipelago. As well, from Porto Santo Stefano it is possible to participate in various diving tours, boat trips and fishing.

From Villino Martina you can get to the nearby towns of Porto Ercole, another splendid tourist port, and Orbetello, connected by a bridge across the lagoon, which is a Natural Reserve and WWF Oasis between the sand bars of Feniglia and Giannella. Not far away there are Capalbio, Talamone and Alberese, entrance to “Uccellina” Natural Park, National Reserve with animals of the local fauna such as the well-known Maremman cows, splendid examples of long horn cattle, wild boars, horses and other interesting animals, supervised by the Tuscan cowboys called “Butteri”. In springtime it is possible to attend the cattle branding called “Merca” and enjoy a typical Maremman lunch.

The inland offers jewels like the tufa towns Sovana and Pitigliano, both villages perching on the top of an abrupt tuff promontory, forming inside a large amount of deep caves utilized to ripen excellent cheese called “formaggio di fossa” or to age our much-praised local wine that accompanies perfectly the flavors and scents of Maremma.

Of course, due to its relaxing performance, the famous spa town of Terme di Saturnia is a fascinating destination in the heart of Tuscan Maremma, dedicated in the Roman age to the god Saturn. Nowadays, it is a splendid wellness center with thermal pools, solarium, beauty and medical treatments.
The characteristic old mill permits to take a bath in a natural hot water pool, whenever you like, night and day.
